The Return to Australia... September 2009

Now that the first month has passed since arriving back in Sydney, time is really starting to fly by. I have been working since I arrived back and filling my time with as much as I can. The weather started at the beginning of September with warm sunshine entering the spring season. As the month went on, the clouds and rain came. It has not been good weather like I would expect from a country like Australia, especially seeing as how I am following the summer and godo weather. I am now heading into my fourth summer in a row! :)

Passing time in Sydney

Here's a few of the little things I have been passing my time with in September:

Catching up with some of the people I worked with in March: Andy, Robin and Cammille.

Avenue Q, a Broadway production touring in Sydney. Avenue Q stars puppets and it was a really enjoyable show!

Took a trip to visit Flora's mum's cousin in Manly where we were able to see views of the city from beyond the harbour.

Free tickets from work to see the guest preview of Surrogates, New Bruce Willis movie!

The Dust Storm that took Sydney by surprise. That was an impressive sight, to wake up and the sky be completely orange!

The Broadway Wedding - 27th September 2009

The weekend started with an early flight from Sydney to Melbourne on Saturday morning. Our reunion started with Kim and Chris who picked us up from the airport. We then picked up Robbie, and then on to see Theresa and Major Foster at Kim's house. We stayed at in a little apartment that night where we awaited the arrival of Martha.

We spent the morning of the wedding being escorted by Aaron around wineries in Yarra Valley. The rest of the day was amazing, a grand wedding and reception. The evening entertainment saw the Tecumseh crew taking over the dance floor for the Cha Cha Slide as true tecumseherians! It was a great time to catch up with old Tecumseh friends and enjoy being present at a wedding of an awesome friend. Here's to many happy years of marriage Mr and Mrs Broadway!

After the wedding we spent a day on the puffing billy train, an old steam train on the Dandenong mountain. A fun with to end an amazing weekend.

Future Plans

Plans are currently being set in stone for the great australian adventure due to commence in mid-November. Check out the next post for a detailed itinerary!

After that it's onto New Zealand with no confirmed date of departure.
